Liars lie. Lovers love.

"He's fat! He's FINALLY FAT!!! Lin look!! He's fat!" She screamed with extraordinary excitement.
"Who's fat? What? Who?"
"Oh my holy mother of three, he is fat. He look so different now. He look.....so good, no, VERY good Amy!" Lin said.
"I know right? So my type! To think he used to be flat skinny before this. Ohmygod. Ohmygod. Lin, but Lin look. He's already taken. Bummer. What a waste." Now Amy sounded solemn looking at the screen with fingers swiftly clicking and sliding on the laptop touchpad.

Lin shrugged, and went back to her drawing.  This is so you Amy. You never take a person for who they are. you proudly claimed looks was never the first thing you after but look at you now. And few guys before this. Lin sighed heavily. She plugged her earphone back to her ears, blasting Delta Spirit's songs.

She has been Amy's close friend since they were 18 when they both attended class somewhere in nowhere. They found each other in the scene of neither one of them wanted to be in. They clicked in that moment of darkness (for both of them) and been good friend ever since. They were inseparable. But as days take their turns changing one month to another, Lin noticed something is changing within Amy as if there is something bothering her but she's keeping it by herself and slowly, this secret she's hiding is eating her from inside, changing her into someone else.

Is it possible? Is she hiding something from me?

Lin kept her head down, forcing herself to focus on her drawing when her mind was battling with questions.

"Amy.."
"Hm...mm?" Eyes stuck to screen. Fingers tapping quickly on keyboard.
"Amy..are you.."
"Yes! I'm hungry. My invisible baby in my tummy is growling hungry." Amy said quickly.
"Hm. Okay." Lin heaved, a sign of giving up. This has happened a little too often.

She'll tell me when she's ready. That is if she does hide something. Maybe she's tired. Maybe I'm over thinking again.

"I'm ready! Baby, let's take over this world together!"
"Amy, you're too happy. I thought you're bummed with that guy?"
"Nah. Not worth it. Its okay, not my luck ey?" Amy said, a little too happy.

Lin knew something is off beat and Amy is definitely hiding something. She always turns into super happy when she's hiding her feeling. Be it her happiness, sadness, anger, or whatever it is. Amy. She hides her feeling. But that won't work with me. I'm Lin, Amy. Stop this. Only God know how much she wanted to scream that on Amy's face.

"You'll get someone better Amy."
"Yeah I know right?" Amy said, sounded a little down. She then took Lin's hand quickly and walk both of them out from their home, singing happily.
"But Amy, the door's unlock!"
"Lin. Are you dumb? I've locked it just now while you were busy adjusting your scarve."
"Are you sure Amy? Because.."
" YES! LET'S GO. MY BABY IS CRYING. HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO MY INNOCENT UNBORN CHILD!"
"Haha. Amy. I'm just worried. Okay. Okay. Let's go okay."

They walked down the alley to their favorite restaurant. Amy was singing 'Be Okay' by Ingrid Michaelson when her phone rang. But to Lin's surprise, Amy ignore the phone call.

"Amy. The phone."
"I know. Just not in the mood."

The phone rang again. And again. And again. Amy searched for the phone in her bag, took the battery out, looked at Lin and smiled sheepishly.

"Who was it?"
"And we're here Lin! God, its been ages! Uncle! Hi!"
"We were here last night Lin. We have always been eating here." Lin said slowly, looking at Amy happily greeting the workers in the restaurant. Lin quickly walked to their spot at the end corner of the restaurant and sat at the sofa part of the spot, leaving Amy with wooden chair.
"BUT LINNNNNNN...you knew I have severe, uncurable back pain." Amy said, giving Lin puppy eyes.
"You and your backpain." Lin caved in to Amy's wish, stood up and gave her seat to Amy and went to the the wooden part.
"Hihi. That's why I love you. You're the best."

After their dinner, Amy lit up her cigarette and calmly puffed the smoke. Lin simply sat at the wooden chair, watching Amy. She wanted to ask Amy how is she doing, but Lin knew, Amy will cut her again, like she always did before and divert her question. After settling the bills, they walked back to their home, in silent. Amy was smoking while Lin was counting their steps.

"50,51,52,53.."
"You know it ends at the range of 160 to 165 right?"
"But its fun. It keeps thing going anyway."
"I'm a little too full. Haha." Amy laugh awkwardly.
"I know. Its okay."
